Carnegie Science Center, North Side, opens “Da Vinci The Exhibition,” highlighting the achievements of Leonardo da Vinci, on Saturday and it runs through April 9. “Engineer the Future” will be Feb. 21 to 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Center hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens and $11.95 for children. Call 412-237-3400.

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., has opened the exhibition “A Great Day for Hockey,” showcasing items from all five Penguins Stanley Cup teams. In recognition of Black History Month, the center’s African-American Program is presenting programs in February. The exhibit “Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission” concludes Monday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for senior citizens, and $9 for children 6 to 17. Military receive $2 off admission. Call 412-454-6000.

National Aviary, 700 Arch St., has announced that the 25th day of each month will feature activities, prizes or discounts, in celebration of the Allegheny Regional Asset District’s 25th Year and its support of the aviary. On Feb. 25, the aviary will offer 25 percent off general admission.The aviary is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $17 for adults and $16 for senior citizens and children 2 to 12. Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, hosts Tape Scape 3.0, an art installation/play exhibit which is an indoor climbing, sliding, rolling landscape made of more than 50 miles of packing tape stretched over a two-story steel frame. “Rube Goldberg: The World of Hilarious Invention!” continues through May 5. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children ages 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Call 412-322-5058.

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts the exhibition “Reptiles: Live!” through May 12. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except closed Tuesdays.
