McDeavitt leads Warriors to win

Scores 24 as Moniteau downs ACV

Ethan McDeavitt dropped 24 points to help Moniteau's boys basketball team close the regular season with a 62-50 victory at A-C Valley.

The playoff-bound Warriors improved to 13-9 with the win.

Senior forward Caleb Penny scored 13 points to lead A-C Valley (6-16) and Eddie Stevanus added 11.

A-C Valley senior Cami McNany scored 10 points and joined Cranberry's Malliah Schreck (10 points) as the only double-digit scorers in the Falcons' 30-17 win over the host Berries.

Wilmington 46, Karns City 41 — Emma Johns netted 15 points in this loss to the Greyhounds.

Bowling

Butler's boys placed seventh out of 18 teams at the WPIBL Championship, totaling 2,456 pins at Plum's Nesbit Lanes.

Senior Jordan Reges rolled a 608 series and a single game of 225 to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. He was one of five bowlers to break 600.

Butler freshman Brock Hepler bowled a 511 series.

Franklin Regional defended its title with an effort of 2,728 pins.

Swimming

Knoch's Matt Cummings contributed to four wins, including individual victories in the 200 IM and backstroke, in a 94-53 win over North Catholic.

North Catholic prevailed in the girls' meet, 107-74, with Ainsley Bissett winning the 200 and 500 freestyles and aiding in two relay wins.
