A pair of prospective pilots received scholarships on Thursday night from the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport Board of Directors. Christopher Martin and Noah Cetnar each earned a $2,500 scholarship.

Cetnar, a Knoch High senior, plans to work toward an aviation or aeronautical science degree in the fall. He will use the scholarship to earn his private pilot certification and build flight time before he leaves for college.

Martin, a second-year Air Force ROTC cadet majoring in aeronautics at Kent State University, will also use his scholarship to earn his private pilot certificate.

Cetnar hopes to become a captain at a commercial airline. Martin's goal is to become an Air Force pilot and fly with the Thunderbirds at AirVenture.
