BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The confirmation class of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, meets at 5 p.m. Sunday, and the youth group meets at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The First English Lutheran Church work team meets at 4 p.m. Monday.

The care team meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Men’s Fellowship meets at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eat’n Park, 214 New Castle Road.

Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, and Bible study meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Daffodil Days orders will be accepted until Sunday. Order forms are on the table in the narthex. Place orders in offering plate. Orders will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Wheelchair escorts are needed at the VA Medical Center for 8:30 a.m. the last two Sundays in February, Sign up in the narthex.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

There is a LIFEGroups meeting at 7 p.m. Friday.

The church will accept gently used rummage sale donations after the Sunday worship service.

CONCORD PRESBYTERIAN

The Sunday school at Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, meets at 9:45 a.m. followed by a traditional worship service at 11 a.m.

Just4Kids meets from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

A mission soup supper fundraiser will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23. Cookie donations are welcome.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

The People for Peace study group of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., meets at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Assembly Room.

Items are being accepted for the Shrove Tuesday auction. Gift cards, gift baskets and handcrafted items may be dropped off at the church between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday or from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Seekers topical discussion class will meet at 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the Assembly Room.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

At Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St., Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. worship service.

Session meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The AA Group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WW meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 and at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 23.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

At the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., as a part of Black History Month, the hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be sung. It is the collaboration of two brothers; the text is by James Weldon Johnson, and the tune is by J. Rosamond Johnson and is embraced by the NAACP as the black national anthem.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will celebrate Holy Communion at the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open to the public from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 21. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag. Donations of only clothing are accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the church or anytime Grace’s Closet is open.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets each Sunday morning at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The vocal choir will sing at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

The bell choir will rehearse at 11:45 a.m. Sundays.

The yarn group will meet at 12 p.m. Sunday in the Hall Lounge.

NORTH WASHINGTON PRESBYTERIAN

North Washington Presbyterian Church, 14 Fairview Road, North Washington, has a traditional worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by Sunday School at 10:45 a.m.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has a brief congregational meeting Sunday to elect officers.

Those interested in joining the Aug. 11 to 17 mission trip to Fayetteville, N.C., to help with hurricane rebuilding should speak with Peter. The sign-up deadline is April 1.

Sign up in the lobby to donate supplies or to volunteer for Saturday’s spaghetti dinner to raise money for the church’s mission projects.

The church is collecting wellness products including feminine hygiene products, deodorants, shampoos and bath products. Drop off donations in the bin in the church lobby.

Sign up in the lobby to attend the Presbytery leadership training event March 17.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Orchard Hill Butler County meets at 107 Staley Ave. at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Orchard Hill Butler County will be participating in an all-campus worship night from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the chapel at the Wexford location, 2551 Brandt School Road, Wexford.

RIDER LUTHERAN

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will have a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates Holy Communion during Sunday’s worship service.

ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, kicks off a 12-week confirmation class Sunday for students in grades seven through 12 who are interested in growing their faith and joining the church.
