[naviga:h3]New reporter joins Butler Eagle[/naviga:h3]

Gabriella Canales is ready to lend an ear to the Butler community.

Canales, 26, is the newest reporter to the Butler Eagle’s Community department.

After she covered education for two years at the Victoria Advocate, a newspaper in Victoria, Texas, Canales moved to Pittsburgh.

Canales is a graduate of the University of HoustonVictoria.

[naviga:h3]Marijuana education center hosts lunch[/naviga:h3]

Butler’s marijuana dispensary is holding a free Valentine’s Day lunch at Pullman Park Cafe to celebrate one year of business.

The meal, according to a news release, is being hosted by the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Education Center in hopes that locals interested in medical marijuana can attend and learn. Cresco Yeltrah, Butler County’s first marijuana dispensary, will give customers 20 percent off the price of its products on the same day.

Free food will include burgers, hotdogs, chips and drinks. The cafe opened at the start of the year. It is located at Historic Pullman Park.

Cresco Yeltrah is located at 201 Pillow St. The dispensary opened Feb. 1, 2018. Cresco Labs, which owns and operates Cresco Yeltrah, also owns a second dispensary in Pittsburgh under the same name. Cresco Labs operates as Cresco Yeltrah in Pennsylvania.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Chipotle is touting its fresh ingredients in ads showing employees making guacamole, grilling chicken and chopping green peppers. Newport Beach, Calif.-based Chipotle is tapping into a transparency trend. Nielsen data shows growing market share for simpler, cleaner ingredient labels.

The ads could also help improve the chain’s reputation after multiple food poisoning outbreaks.
