COMMUNITY EFFORT — Butler Elks Lodge 170 recently presented community donations totaling $31,000 to individuals and groups. Receiving money from the fraternal organization were: Connie Legrand, member and dog bite victim, $500; 11 local fire departments each received $500 for a total of $5,500; JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes), $2,500; Community Liver Alliance, $2,500; St. Vincent de Paul food bank, $5,000; Community Care Connections, $5,000; Butler County Veterans in Need Fund, $5,000; and Community Care Resources, $5,000.
