Ozzy Osbourne

LOS ANGELES — Ozzy Osbourne is in a hospital.

The rocker’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, wrote on Twitter Wednesday that the 70-year-old was admitted “following some complications from the flu.” She wrote doctors believe “this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery.”

It was announced last week that the United Kingdom and European leg of Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tours2 tour was postponed because of doctors’ orders. He thanked all for wishing him a speedy recovery.

He had to cancel several shows on his North American tour in 2018 because of a hand infection.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An Indianapolis man has been arrested after ramming his SUV through a security gate at the home of rocker John Mellencamp and kicking in a door.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said 48-year-old Robert P. Carter was arrested about 6 a.m. Thursday by officers responding to an alarm at Mellencamp’s home outside Bloomington. No one was home at the time.

Carter told officers he was there to “arrest Mellencamp for supporting a government” Carter doesn’t support. He was charged with burglary, residential entry and criminal trespass.

Carter was released from the Monroe County Jail after a court appearance Wednesday for having a handgun without a license. He also received a mental health evaluation.

NEW YORK — Filmmaker Woody Allen is suing Amazon for at least $68 million, saying that the company ended a four-picture movie deal last year after old accusations against him resurfaced in the press.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday, says that Amazon knew about a “25-year-old” allegation before signing with Allen in 2017, but still used it as an excuse to back out of the deal.

“There simply was no legitimate ground for Amazon to renege on its promises,” the lawsuit says.

Allen’s daughter, Dylan Farrow, has said that Allen molested her in an attic in 1992 when she was 7 years old, which the filmmaker has repeatedly denied.

The lawsuit, which doesn’t mention Farrow by name, says Amazon ended the deal with Allen in June 2018.

NEW YORK — A new posting of a 2016 segment of “The View” is drawing attention to co-host Joy Behar, who in it shows a photo of herself in costume as an African woman.

The 76-year-old did not mention the clip on Thursday’s show, one day after an editor for the entertainment website The Wrap tweeted the segment of Behar discussing a resurgence of curly hair.

Behar displayed a photo of herself with curly hair when she was 29. She says that the hair was her own and that she had dressed as a “beautiful African woman” for Halloween.

Co-host Raven-Symone asked whether she had tanning lotion on. Behar, an outspoken liberal, said she wore makeup “that was a little bit darker than my skin.”
