BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have music by Chrisann Green Sunday.

CHRIST COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST

The prayer shawl group of Christ Community United Methodist, 205 N. Duffy Road, will meet 1 p.m. Thursday.

The Red Church offering Sunday at both services will benefit Laurie Powell’s Hearts 4 Haiti mission trip.

Monday Men’s Breakfast group meets at 8 a.m. at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

The First English Lutheran Church community dinner work team meets at 4 p.m. Monday, and the Gal’s Book Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Ginny Love’s home.

The ministry planning team meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Wednesday Men’s Fellowship group meets 6:30 a.m., Quilters meet 9 a.m. and Bible study is 7 p.m.

The St. Vincent DePaul Food Cupboard items for February are beans and rice. Place items in the baskets in the narthex.

Wheelchair escorts are needed 8:30 a.m. at all Sundays in February at the VA Medical Center. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex.

CONCORD PRESBYTERIAN

Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, has 9:45 a.m. Sunday school followed by an 11 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The adult Sunday school class begins its progressive dinner at 4 p.m. Saturday.

The vacation Bible school meeting is rescheduled to Sunday after the worship service. It will be followed by a Christian education committee meeting.

Session meets Tuesday.

Jus4Kids will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

EAST BUTLER PRESBYTERIAN

East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, has an ice cream social at 6 p.m. Saturday. Entertainment will be offered by the musical group, Gold and Silver Springs. Refreshments, ice cream and toppings will be provided.

FAITH UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

At Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St., Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. worship service.

The seasons and Sunday School children will distribute Valentine treats.

The AA group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WW meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Feb. 14 and at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 16.

FENELTON UNITED METHODIST

Fenelton United Methodist Church, 810 Clearfield Road, will host a contemporary evening service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and will include Craigsville United Methodist Church and McKee Chapel United Methodist Church

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has a council and leadership retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Camp Lutherlyn.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. Parents and guardians may pick up their children from the classroom at 9:50 a.m.

The 10 a.m. Sunday worship service will celebrate Communion by intinction.

GRACE@CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., has Ladies’ night out at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Rock Ann Haven, 141 Greenwood Drive.

The fellowship and service committee meets at 10 a.m. Friday in the ladies lounge.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open to the public from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag.

The Christian education Committee will meet Sunday following the worship service.

The youths of the church are invited to attend the BALM youth group gathering from 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St.

On Tuesday, the property committee meets at 6 p.m., the finance committee at 6:30 p.m. and the worship and music committee at 7 p.m.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Beth Ackelson, Pat Hovis, Don Horstman and Mark Schoenfeld provide the music for the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., sponsor a family movie night Friday. Meet for snacks at 6 p.m. with the movie starting at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations for the Feb. 18 senior night out are due Wednesday.

Members should use the blue offering envelope for the 2019 Beaver Butler per capita.

New singers are invited to join the choir which will practice at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

February food requests are peanut butter or jelly.

INTERSECTION CHURCH

The Locking Arms Men’s Ministry of Intersection Church, 120 Walker Ave., meets at 6:30 a.m. Thursdays at Mac’s Route 8 Cafe, 16 Pittsburgh Road and at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Kings Restaurant, 191 New Castle Road.

Christian Business Partners meets weekly from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. Thursdays.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons of Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., meet at 7:15 p.m. Thursday for their monthly meeting in the board room.

There will be a meeting at 12:15 p.m. Sunday for CE/MO in the board room.

The spring session of GriefShare begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library room.

NORTH WASHINGTON PRESBYTERIAN

North Washington Presbyterian Church, 714 Fairview Road, North Washington, will have a traditional worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday followed by Sunday school at 10:45 a.m.

Session meets at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Members of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, will be able to vote for their favorite acoustic panel color to be installed in the fellowship hall. There are five choices located on the stage in the fellowship hall.

ORCHARD HILL BUTLER COUNTY

Members of Orchard Hill Butler County will be volunteering at the Butler County Humane Society from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

There will be a 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service at 107 Staley Ave.

RIDER LUTHERAN

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will have a council committee meeting following the 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The VBS committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, celebrates Holy Communion at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service with the Rev Dennis Hindman leading the service.

The church council meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

ST. ANDREW THE APOSTLE BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHUCH

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 420 Beaver St., Mars, will have its annual meeting Sunday immediately following the 10 a.m. worship service. The agenda includes receiving the annual report and voting on the 2019 congregational budget.

The all-vestry retreat will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Specialty Care Center, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars. All vestry members are encouraged to attend.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate Communion at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service. There will be a doughnut and fruit fellowship after each service.

Souper Bowl donations for the Cabot Food Bank end Sunday. Soup, pasta, sauce, canned fruit and juice are needed.

The outreach ministry will lead the 2 p.m. Sunday service at Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg.

Reservations for the April 29-May 1 Washington D.C. bus trip are being taken. The tour will include Arlington Cemetery, Bible Museum, National Cathedral, monuments, and more. TRINITY LUTHERAN

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have blood-pressure screenings after the 5:30 p.m. Saturday worship service and between the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship services.

The outreach committee meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, and the property committee meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
