Opus I Music Society on Monday will host a speaker about how music therapy impacts health and wellness.

The program will include examples and experiences from adults with dementia, hospitalized children, incarcerated teens and hospice patients.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. at LifePointe Alliance Church, Route 228 in Adams Township.

The Jazz Cabaret offers a touch of Broadway with a tinge of Valentine’s Day music at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Conley’s in Penn Township.

Performing will be vocalist Maura Minteer and her trio Jeff Lashway, Tony DePaolis and Danny Glover.

Tickets are $12.50. Appetizers and parking are free. There will be a cash bar.

Butler Little Theatre will stage “The Dixie Swim Club,” a comedy/drama by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, March 1 to 9 at the BLT, One Howard St.

[naviga:h3]Students dance ‘Snow White’[/naviga:h3]

County students will perform in Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School’s world premiere of “Snow White the Ballet” Feb. 15 to 17 at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland, Beaver County.

Dancing is a 49-member cast that includes 11th-graders Katy Coulson and Tricia Dietrick of Cranberry Township, and Alexis Walker of Mars; and ninth-graders Alexa DeJeet of Cranberry Township and Madison Mann of Mars.

[naviga:h3]‘Moon’ exhibit free for kids[/naviga:h3]

The Heinz History Center offers “Kids Get in Free” on Saturday, before the “Destination Moon” exhibit ends Feb. 18.

Destination Moon Family Day activities run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children 17 and younger get in free.

The Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Regular admission is $18 for adults, $15 for senior citizen, and $9 for children 6 to 17. Military receive $2 off admission. Call 412-454-6000.
