Marie Maxim, 102 of the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, 107 Sunnyview Circle, celebrated her birthday with her family Jan. 27.

She was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Lyndora.

She married William Maxim.

She had three children including one surviving daughter, Carol Marini of Fresno, Calif., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She worked as a house maid in New York City in her youth before becoming a homemaker.

She was a member of St John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
