SR girls cruise past Grove City

Slippery Rock jumped out to a 40-16 lead by halftime and cruised to a 63-40 girls basketball win over Grove City on Saturday.

Hallie Raabe paced the Rockets with 20 points while MaryAnn Ackerman added 16.

Lily Burtch led Grove City with 12.

Peters Township 64, North Catholic 53 — The Trojanettes lost for just the second time this season. Tess Myers scored 27 points in the defeat.

Peters Township grabbed 20 offensive rebounds.

Levi Orton scored 27 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had five assists, but A-C Valley dropped a 73-64 decision to DuBois Central.

Eddie Stevanus added 14 points and 12 rebounds, Caleb Penny 14 points and eight boards in the defeat.

Indoor Track

Jack Codispot won the pole vault and Elena DiPippa the triple jump for Butler as the Golden Tornado competed in the Ohio Indoor Preview Meet at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, Saturday.
