Traffic on Route 422 east in Clearfield Township near Williams & Williams Line Paint is slow-go following a one-vehicle accident shortly after 11 a.m.

The accident happened when a Kittanning man suffered a medical emergency and lost control of his empty dump truck, state police said.

The man apparently passed out at the wheel, causing the eastbound truck to cross all four lanes. The truck ended up on the west side of an embankment.

The man was conscious by the time another motorist stopped to check on him. He was taken by ambulance to ACMH Hospital in Armstrong County to be examined.

Police said he did not appear to be injured in the accident.
