Snow finally arrives in Butler County, bitter cold on the way

Butler County awoke to about 5 inches of snow and subfreezing temperatures Sunday.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. “A winter storm warning means snow and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible,” the weather service reports.

The weather service is warning of icy roads as temperatures stay below freezing Sunday. On Monday, the high temperature is expected to be 12, with wind chill values at -13.
