Sentencing Court

Butler County Judge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences on Jan. 10:

Ashley Renee Jones, 35, of Monaca was sentenced to two and half years of county probation after she pleaded guilty on Dec. 5, 2018, to manufacturing, delivery or possession with the intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility. Jones must also pay restitution and a $300 fine, and she must surrender her passport to prevent her from traveling abroad. Jones was charged March 18, 2018, with three counts of manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent to deliver, two counts of criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal attempt to manufacture, deliver or posses with the intent to deliver.

Michael Ray John, 25, of Sarver was sentenced to five years of intermediate punishment, nine months of probation and 90 days of house arrest for driving under the influence and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.02 percent or higher, to which he pleaded guilty on Dec. 3, 2018. He was charged July 12, 2018, with four DUIs, three traffic violations and operating a vehicle without insurance.

John Samuel McIntyre, 27, of Butler was sentenced to nine months of probation for disorderly conduct and he must pay a $50 fine. He pleaded guilty on Dec. 5, 2018, and originally faced an additional charge of simple assault dating to August 2018.

Jared Timothy Simpson, 25, of New Kensington was sentenced to one year of probation and must serve 10 hours of community service after pleading guilty on Dec. 5, 2018, to theft. He originally faced two theft charges dating back to April 11, 2108.

Robert Paul Crawford Jr., 61, of Forestville was sentenced to two and half years of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence. He must pay a $1,500 fine and 100 hours of community service. Crawford pleaded guilty on Nov. 9, 2018, and was originally charged Dec. 30, 2017, with four DUI charges, failure to use safety belt, terroristic threats and simple assault.

Cody John Rose, 24, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation for resisting arrest. He pleaded guilty Nov. 19, 2018, in a case that dates back to last January. Rose was originally charged with resisting arrest, harassment, public drunkenness, two counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of simple assault. In a second case, Rose was sentenced to 72 hours to six months in jail for driving under the influence and two counts of disorderly conduct. He must also pay a $300 fine and complete 50 hours of community service. Rose pleaded guilty in this case on Nov. 19, 2018, and was charged last January with two DUI charges and two disorderly conduct charges.

Justin Allen Foley, 37, of Renfrew was sentenced to five years of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence. He must complete 100 hours of community service and pay a $1,500 fine. Foley pleaded guilty on Dec. 5, 2018, and he was originally facing four DUI related charges and a traffic violation when he was charged on April, 29, 2018.

Paul David Hancheck Jr., 31, of Butler was sentenced to one year of probation. Hancheck pleaded guilty Dec. 5, 2018, to a charge of disorderly conduct. His case dates back to Dec. 12, 2015, and he was originally charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, public drunkenness and terroristic threats.

John Mark Kowalewski, 27, of Wheatland must pay a $100 fine for harassment. He pleaded guilty Dec. 5, 2018. He faced an additional simple assault charge dating back to Dec. 15, 2016.

Zachary Ty Knittle, 24 of Bloomsburg was sentenced to 60 days of intermediate punishment and nine months of county probation for possessing drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license. He pleaded guilty to the charges on Dec. 3, 2018. He was charged on Aug. 23, 2018, and was facing an additional two drug charges.

Janet Nicole Greiner, 30, of Gibsonia was sentenced to nine months to two years in jail for conspiracy theft and six months to one year in jail for conspiracy robbery. She must also serve two years of probation. Greiner pleaded guilty on Dec. 5, 2018. She was charged Dec. 2, 2017, with criminal conspiracy burglary, conspiracy theft, receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy aggravated assault, and criminal conspiracy simple assault.
