Raiders come up clutch

Seneca Valley girls pull away from Foxes

Gretchen Koken scored 16 points as the Seneca Valley girls basketball team used a big second quarter to send it on the way to a 50-41 home section win over Fox Chapel Thursday night.

The Raiders (9-3, 3-3) trailed 16-12 after the first quarter, but outscored the Foxes 17-6 in the second quarter to take the lead for good.

Jess Bickart and McKenna Gross each added 11 points for Seneca Valley, which will have a showdown with rival Butler Monday.
