Butler County's great daily newspaper

Coincidence?

Reading recent items in the Butler Eagle, I find a very curious connection between the year-end review, “Storm cuts power to thousands for days” (Dec. 30, P. 1) and the editorial “Can Butler County see itself amid complex global affairs?” (Dec. 31, P. 4).

The former article offers a superficial but clear set of observations of a localized weather related calamity that caused inconvenient power outages for over a week. Step back and take a look at the nation as a whole for 2018 with these types or larger natural happenings.

Next, let us take a look at your clairvoyance as you outlined in “Can Butler see itself.” A missing ingredient is included as an attachment for your curiosity and see if your foresight is as good as I think it is.

This 2018 report delves into what the author believes can be a combination natural and/or man-made disasters. The breadth and width that whole segments of our society could be lost.

How brave are you? Does this sound like crazy talk or is it a wake-up call for us and our leadership to pay attention? Reading this report and what little I know, the biggest obstacle is getting the government bureaucrats to stop turf wars trying to find out who should be in charge. Concepts are moving in the right direction but no adults are in charge.
