Butler Police9 p.m., Thursday — Butler police have identified a bicyclist injured Thursday night in a collision with a car at Broad and West New Castle streets.Zachary Rush, 22, of Butler was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with apparent minor injuries following the accident around 9 p.m. Police said Rush failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by Mario Toppi, no age given, of Butler. No charges were filed, police said, and the accident remains under investigation. Toppi and his two passengers were not hurt, authorities said.

Butler Twp Police8:50 p.m. Thursday — Police arrested Daniel P. Moorehead, 23, of Slippery Rock on a bench warrant at the Sheetz store on New Castle Road. He was placed in the Butler County Prison.Court records showed that the warrant was issued Dec. 7 after Moorehead failed to appear for a hearing in connection with a 2008 driving under the influence of a controlled substance case in Butler.2:04 a.m., Friday — Police arrested Christopher Hartman, 32, of Butler after they responded to a call regarding a domestic dispute on Highland Avenue. Hartman was found to have a confirmed warrant for a parole violation. He was arrested for the warrant, and was also suspected of having drugs. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Butler County Prison to await arraignment.

State Police, Butler2 a.m. Thursday — A Clarion County man was injured when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a tree along East Slippery Road at Rabbitt Road in Donegal Township.Paul R. Leddon, 64, of Rimersburg, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County for treatment for moderate injuries, including a cut on the head.The Chicora Volunteer Fire Department and Chicora Community Ambulance assisted at the scene. Police cited Leddon for disregarding traffic lanes.4:13 a.m. Dec. 30 — Kenneth L. Purvis Jr., 50, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife while she was sleeping at their home on Albin Road in Clinton Township.Police said he also kicked a trooper who responded to the call.Purvis was arraigned on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of simple assault and resisting arrest. He also was cited for harassment and disorderly conduct.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail following arraignment.Dec. 26 — Anthony J. Lominski, 57, of Washington Township was charged with being more than three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol and under the influence of marijuana in connection with a November one-vehicle crash in Washington Township.Police said Lominski lost control of his pickup truck around 8 p.m. on Nov. 27 and struck a utility pole along Route 38 near Dean Road.Before the defendant was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital to be checked out for possible injuries, according to court documents, he submitted to a portable breath test device that indicated he had alcohol in his system.At the hospital, police said, he agreed to a blood test. Toxicology results indicated that his blood-alcohol level was 0.258 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated. He also tested positive for marijuana.Lominski is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, DUI, driving at an unsafe speed, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.
