9:43 p.m., Oct. 31 — Mark Holmes, 33, of Butler and Tamela Stevens, 44, of Butler worked together to steal a purse at the 11th Frame Bar and Grill, according to police.

The pair face charges related to theft and criminal conspiracy.

12:01 a.m., Dec. 1 — State police pulled over a vehicle driven by Paige A. Raines, 22, of Slippery Rock on Route 8 in Brady Township after seeing the car drift over the outer white line of the road several times, according to a criminal complaint.

The officer allegedly smelled marijuana, found marijuana and was told by Raines that she had been smoking marijuana earlier that night. A recent toxicology report confirmed the suspicions.

Raines faces possession, driving under the influence and careless driving charges.

12:09 a.m., Nov. 18 — Michael R. Callaway, 59, of Tarentum is charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia and driving without insurance, according to a criminal complaint.

Callaway’s blood test came in positive for amphetamines, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, police reported.

Police responded to a report of a verbal argument on the 200 block of Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Callaway was found with a broken down vehicle, and he told police he had been driving south when his gas tank fell off his car.

Police found two grams of methamphetamine and smoking equipment in his car, according to the complaint.
