Police are investigating a reported burglary with gunshots fired at a Hansen Avenue apartment in Butler Township. The call came in at 8:10 a.m. and a woman told authorities that she was trapped in the apartment.

Neighbors said they saw a man run down the steps from an apartment building on the 500 block of Hansen Avenue.

About eight police cars from the township and Butler city were seen driving away with emergency lights and scene toward Whitestown Avenue.

No information was immediately available.
