BAKERSTOWN, Allegheny County — First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, 5825 Heckert Road, will host a parenting seminar from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 13 in its fellowship hall. The community is invited.

Speaker Mark Jones weave practical tips parents can follow with humorous stories from his personal experience to encourage and equip parents.

[naviga:h3]Christmas meal reservations due[/naviga:h3]

Reservations are due Thursday for First United Methodist Church’s Christmas Day dinner, which will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 25.

There will be an 11 a.m. Christmas service at the church, 200 E. North St.

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcome. Deliveries are available.
