Release of bond, truck buy get OK

ADAMS TWP — Supervisors approved a bond release for Stoneridge Farms housing development and a vehicle purchase at their Monday meeting. But officials tabled discussion on several housing developments until next year.

The board approved a request from the developer of Stoneridge Farms to release $218,004 from its bond. Township engineer Ronald Olsen recommended that the township approve that request.

The board also approved buying a new pickup truck for public works use. Supervisors approved spending $40,818 for the truck and a plow.

The meeting agenda initially called for a hearing for the Brookhaven plan and Sunrise Acres housing developments, but this was tabled. Board President Thomas Franceschina said he expects those hearings to take place in March.

Supervisors will not meet on the last Monday of the month, which is Christmas Eve.

They are planning to hold a special meeting to give final approval to the budget at 10 a.m. on Dec. 21 at the township building.

That proposed budget calls for no tax increases and increased spending on the township park in 2019.
