[naviga:h3]SRU’s Keeslar gets academic honors[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University men’s soccer player Kenton Keeslar has been named 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America.

A first team selection, Keeslar is only the second SRU men’s soccer athlete to be a two-time honoree. He carries a 4.0 grade point average as an exercise science major.

Keeslar has started 65 of his 68 career Rock games on defense and has four career goals.

[naviga:h3]Craig sets BC3 rebound record[/naviga:h3]

City graduate Mackenzie Craig set the Butler County Community College women’s basketball record for career rebounds, but the Pioneers fell to powerhouse Jamestown, 89-42, Wednesday night.

Craig scored 17 points and added 13 rebounds in the loss. She now has 667 career rebounds, eclipsing the record of 663 set by Butler graduate Julia Baxter.

Knoch grad Carly Burdett led BC3 with 19 points.

The Pioneer men also fell to Jamestown, 99-86, despite 36 points from Butler graduate Joel Stutz.

His brother, Jace Stutz, had a triple-double with 15 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds for BC3.
