[naviga:h3]Chamber singers perform at church[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Chamber Singers of Slippery Rock High School will present the Saturday program at the Second Saturday Concert at the Friendship Presbyterian Church, 886 New Castle Road.

Snacks and dessert will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., and the music will begin at 7 p.m. An offering will be received.

[naviga:h3]Church to host holiday concert[/naviga:h3]

CABOT — Cabot United Methodist Church, 707 Winfield Road, hosts a 6:30 p.m. Friday Christmas concert with Chris Dodson, his wife, Kayla, and Jordan Smallwood.

Dodson has been singing and performing for almost 15 years. It wasn’t until 2½ years ago he became a born- again believer and gave his heart and life to Jesus.

[naviga:h3]Christmas candle service in chapel[/naviga:h3]

GROVE CITY — Grove City College invites students, family, friends, alumni and the local community to the annual Christmas Candlelight Services, one at 6:30 and another at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the historical Harbison Chapel on the college campus.

The Rev. Dean Weaver, interim chaplain, will preach on “The Savior’s Song” and read “Thou Wilt Light My Candle,” honoring a campus tradition begun more than 30 years ago.

The Grove City College Touring Choir will perform hymns and lead the congregation in “Silent Night” during the lighting of candles.

The services are always well attended and seating can be at a premium. Early arrival is recommended with parking available in the Rathburn Hall lot. The event is free and open to the public.

[naviga:h3]Civic chorale to sing at church[/naviga:h3]

HARMONY — The Ellwood City Area Civic Chorale will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway.

Everyone is welcome.

Community prayer slated for Dec. 14

Butler area Christians are invited to join together at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 to lift their voices in prayer at Whitestown Road Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road.
