Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will host the 119th annual Christmas Bird Count from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 15. A “Winter Wonder Walk” is planned for 10 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27.

Moraine State Park will host a “First Day Hike” from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 1 leaving from the bike rental parking lot on the North Shore. Call 724-368-8811.

McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County off Route 422, will host a winter tree ID walk from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 15 leaving from the Kildoo picnic area.
