County treasurer Diane Marburger reminds Butler, Callery, Connoquenessing, Valencia and West Sunbury residents that Dec. 31 is the final day to pay county real estate taxes.

All tax payments received in person or postmarked Dec. 31 will be honored at the penalty tax rate that was charged since July 1.

Residents of those municipalities may pay their county taxes in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the treasurer’s office on the first floor of the county government center at South Jackson and West Diamond streets.

Cash, check, money order or cashier’s check will be accepted until Dec. 14.

After that, only cash, money order or cashier’s check will be accepted.

Those mailing funds can send a cashier’s check or money order to: Butler County Treasurer, P.O. Box 1208, Butler, PA 16001-1208.

Payments received after Dec. 31 will be considered delinquent and returned to the sender.
