7:53 a.m. Nov. 10 — Police said Sandra Pumilia, 69, of Butler tried to slow coming down a hill on Dinnerbell Road but her car slid and rear-ended a car being driven by Diane Hoffman, 60, of Pittsburgh. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no injuries were reported.

7:10 a.m. Nov. 10 — Alec R. Spinneweber, 25, of Butler was cited for driving a vehicle at unsafe speed after his Toyota Corolla slid into a guard rail on Route 422 westbound in Butler Township near the Route 68 on-ramp. Police said Spinneweber was driving too fast for conditions.

5:46 p.m. Nov. 10 — While driving north on Route 173, Tyler S. Loux, 21, of Slippery Rock saw a deer on the road and swerved into oncoming traffic, police said, hitting a car driven by Richard Webb, 38, of Butler. Both drivers were taken to Grove City Medical Center, Loux for treatment of apparent minor injuries and Webb for treatment of an unspecified possible injury.

1:31 a.m. Nov. 10 — Police arrested Jeffrey Allen Buchanan Jr., 29, of Butler for suspected drunken driving, after a traffic stop near the intersection of North Main Street and Sunset Drive in Center Township.

6 p.m. Nov. 9 — Police said a 16-year-old boy driving a Ford Ranger ran a stop sign at the intersection of Harmony Road and Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township, colliding with a Ford Focus driven by Sharo Alex, 24, of Hermitage. The impact pushed the minor’s car onto its side but neither driver was injured, police said, and the juvenile was cited for a stop sign violation.

3:57 p.m. Nov. 9 — Police said Michael A. Lafauci, 21, of Grove City was driving north on Route 8 in Center Township when his Jeep Laredo rear-ended a Toyota Avalon driven by Tyler Hempfling, 32, of Slippery Rock, pushing that car into a Honda Accord driven by Diann DeAngelis, 52, of Butler. Police said no one was injured and Lafauci was cited for driving a vehicle at unsafe speed.
