Schnur 100th birthday

Dorothy Schnur of Butler will celebrate her 100th birthday Nov. 22 with an open house at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and a family dinner at the Herman Fire Hall.

The former Dorothy Miller was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Herman. She married Robert A. Schnur on Jun 15, 1938, in St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

She has six children, Sister Mary Schnur of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Betty Wolfe of Johnson City, Tenn., Robert Schnur of Butler, Rita Thompson of Butler, Thomas Schnur of Butler and Mary Ellen Rodgers of Butler.

She also has 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, specializing in baking bread, pies and cooking family dinners.

Mrs. Schnur enjoys traveling. She has made pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Fatima, Lourdes and Guadalupe. She especially enjoys cruises and beach vacations. She also likes to play 500 with her family and eat pizza from Pizza Hut.

She is a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, where she has been a Eucharistic minister.
