CENTER VALLEY — Karns City graduate Rebecca Pennington, a freshman on the Chatham University women's cross country team, has qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Pennington finished seventh at the Division III Mideast Regional, running a time of 22 minutes, 57.3 seconds. She became the first runner in Chatham history to reach the national championships.

The Division III national meet is at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
