21st birthday celebration ends with charges for mother, son

BUTLER TWP — A 21st birthday celebration didn't end well for a Butler man or his mother.

Both were arrested for driving drunk — in the same car.

Andrew J. Henry, 21, and Sabrina M. Henry, 45, of Butler are both charged with driving under the influence and careless driving. Sabrina Henry was also cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Butler Township police came upon mother and son shortly after 8 p.m. Oct. 2 after a resident on Bean Street called to report two intoxicated people on his property.

At the home, police said, Sabrina had driven her car on decorative rocks along the driveway. She apparently was unable to get the vehicle off the rocks.

That's when Andrew tried to help out. He switched places with his mother, police said, and backed up the car — right into the resident's truck parked on the other side of Bean Street.
