At least one person injured in motorcycle accident

BUFFALO TWP — At least one person was injured and flown to a hospital for treatment following a motorcycle accident on Sarver Road Friday afternoon.

A man who lives near the wreck, which occurred in front of Sarver Automotive and Performance on Route 228, said he was outside when heard the crash. The accident was reported at 3:30 p.m.

When he turned to look, he said he saw the bike fall to the ground.

He said he believed the driver was a male and was riding alone.

Township police, Sarver and Buffalo Township volunteer fire departments, Saxonburg Ambulance and a STAT MedEvac helicopter responded to the accident.

Sarver Road was closed to traffic briefly to allow the helicopter to land and take off.

Township police said the accident is under investigation.
