Overdose victims remembered during candlelight march
Approximately 50 people gathered Thursday night to remember the Butler County people lost to drug addiction this year.
After a ceremony that included a reading of the names of the 36 people who died in 2018, participants walked down Main Street in Butler with candles in hand.
Charlene Eckert, a leader in Hope for the Broken Hearts, organized the event, the fourth annual Overdose Awareness Candlelight Walk.
“This is to support the families that have lost loved ones to the battle,” Eckert said.
