Princess Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank

LONDON — The royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank was a big hit in terms of British TV viewership.

ITV said Saturday that it added roughly 2.1 million viewers during its extended morning program that showed live coverage of Friday's wedding at Windsor Castle.

ITV was the only U.K. broadcaster that showed the entire service live from St. George's Chapel.

Competitors BBC and Sky News showed snippets of the wedding and the crowds thronging the streets of Windsor outside the castle.

BBC blamed a failure of its voice recognition system for a subtitle that briefly referred to Eugenie's “beautiful breasts” rather than her “beautiful dress” as she walked up the stairs to the chapel.

Eugenie is the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and ninth in line to the British throne.

PHILADELPHIA — Serena Williams has opened up about parenting, motherhood and her own insecurities during a women's conference in Philadelphia.

The tennis star was one of a number of speakers Friday at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women.

She told the group of about 10,000 attendees: “I always have these insecurities that I'm not good enough as a mom. We all go through these different emotions that we all don't feel comfortable talking about. But I think we should.”

The Philly Voice reports she also spoke about the disparity in health outcomes between black and white mothers and her status as an inspiration for working moms.

She wrapped up by saying she wants her 1-year-old daughter to grow up in a world where women support other women.

She says “the success of another woman should be the inspiration to the next.”

KAMPALA, Uganda — Ugandan officials say Kanye West and his wife, the reality TV star Kim Kardashian West, have arrived in Uganda on a private visit.

Information Minister Frank Tumwebaze said late Saturday that West's visit is “an endorsement of our tourism resources.” Government spokesman Ofwono Opondo said on Twitter the American rapper was traveling with his wife.

They are reportedly vacationing in a luxury safari lodge with a view of the River Nile in the northern part of the East African nation.

Their presence in Uganda is seen as a coup for official tourism promoters, who recently were criticized by the president for allegedly not doing enough to promote Uganda's natural attractions.
