Gary Ellenberger

Gary Ellenberger will continue to be held in Butler County Prison after a judge on Tuesday denied his request for a money bond to be set, citing the danger Ellenberger may pose to public safety.

Ellenberger is accused of shooting Heath Schrecengost, 27, of Karns City on Sept. 2 in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. He is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and illegal offensive weapons.
