Slippery Rock cruises past Titusville, 55-31

It didn't take long for the Slippery Rock High football team to get going.

One play.

On the game's first snap, quarterback Vito Pilosi found David Duffalo for a 70-yard touchdown pass and the Rockets rolled from there to a 55-31 road win over Titusville Friday night.

On Slippery Rock's second offensive play, Pilosi struck again, hitting Patrick Shea for an 85-yard touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

Pilosi wasn't done.

The junior threw his third touchdown pass of the first quarter when he hit Nathan Hyatt for a 35-yard score.

Hyatt then scored 13 seconds later on an interception return for a touchdown and a 28-0 lead.

Kaleb Kamerer had touchdown runs of 15 and 42 and Pilosi a 50-yard scamper for a score to help the Rockets build a 48-13 lead at the half.

Kid Scarborough capped the scoring for Slippery Rock (4-2) with a 35-yard interception return for a score.

The Rockets face Conneaut next week in a pivotal region matchup.

Union/A-C Valley 34, Port Allegany 6 — Luke Bowser tossed a pair of touchdown passes and Caden Rainey returned a kickoff 61 yards for a score as the Falcon Knights (2-4) rolled.

Nolan Cumberland and Colton Hoffman hauled in the scoring passes from Bowser, who finished 5 of 11 for 109 yards.

Colby Best had 13 tackles, a sack and an interception on defense for Union/A-C Valley.

Tennis

Sabrina Dunlap, Haley Davinsizer and Sneha Padamati each won their singles matches for Seneca Valley in a 4-1 win over North Catholic.

Girls Soccer

Olivia Rumbaugh had two goals and three assists Thursday as Karns City blanked Clarion, 8-0.

Alexis Moore added a pair of goals for the Gremlins (7-1). Brooke Stahlman and Hunter Dittman both had a goal and assist, Rossi McMillen and Marra Patton a goal each.

Karns City hosts Keystone Monday.
