Galbreath scores 100th goal for Knoch

Gremlins win in OT; DeJidas leads 'Jackets volleyball

Knoch senior Lindsie Gabreath scored her 100th career point Saturday in the Knights' 6-2 girls soccer loss to Burrell.

Galbreath had a goal and assist in the game. Gabby Oskin scored Knoch's other goal and Sarah Vasas had an assist.

Galbreath became the second player in the program's history to reach 100 career points. The other was Amanda Sharbaugh in 2008.

Boys Soccer

Brayden Christie scored a goal early in the second overtime, lifting Karns City to a 2-1 victory against Harbor Creek. Austin Fahlor assisted on the winning goal.

Nate Rondinelli tied the game at 1-1 on a direct kick from 25 yards out in the first half.

KC goalkeeper Jake Weckerly made a diving save on a Harbor Creek shot as time expired in regulation.

The win improved the Gremlins to 8-0.

Freeport 5, Derry 0 — The host Yellowjackets (6-4, 4-3) received four goals from Hunter Hardin and one from Tanner Hoschied.

Hampton 3, Knoch 0 — The Knights fell to 3-6-2 overall, 2-5-1 in section play. Knoch travels to North Hills Tuesday.

Slippery Rock 3, Hickory 1 — Jack Allen scored a pair of goals and Ryan Davey also found the net for the Rockets (4-2-1).

Girls Volleyball

Allyson DeJidas was named tournament MVP as Freeport won its own Fall Invitational.

The Yellowjackets defeated Kiski Area 2-0 in the championship round.
