Freeport, Romanchak roll

Yellowjackets QB scores 5 TDs in 55-16 rout of Uniontown

Austin Romanchak scored five touchdowns, four on the ground, as Freeport rolled up 55 first-half points in the way to a 55-16 rout of Uniontown.

Romanchak rushed for 157 yards on just eight carries. He also returned an interception for a score.

Conor Selinger also had a big day for the Yellowjackets on the ground with 93 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns.

Freeport led 36-0 just one play into the second quarter and had a 55-8 advantage at the half.

Ky'ron Craggette was the lone bright spot for Uniontown. He rushed for 153 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Derry 27, North Catholic 0 — Justin Flack had a big night for Derry with four touchdowns as Derry blanked the shellshocked Trojans.

Flack scored on TD runs of 2 and 10 and caught scoring passes of 18 and 26 from Paul Koontz.

It's the first time North Catholic has been shut out since Oct. 28, 2011, when the Trojans fell 19-0 to Bishop Canevin.

Elk County Catholic 42, Union/A-C Valley 6 — Luke Bowser connected with Tanner Merwin for a 26-yard touchdown in the second quarter, but the Falcon Knights couldn't keep Stephen Bobby at bay.

Bobby rushed for 197 yards on 29 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns.

Bowser was 7 of 15 for 62 yards.

Golf

Brayden Setnar shot a 41, but Butler fell to North Allegheny 204-223.

Chris Huff carded a 42 and Carson Stein a 44 for the Tornado.
