David Paul McGinty, 57, of Slippery Rock is under electronic monitoring for the first 30 days of a 24-month intermediate punishment for simple assault. State police originally charged McGinty on May 1 with terroristic threats and harassment along with the simple assault charge.

Nicolette Mary Bilicic, 22, of Pittsburgh will be on probation for six months for simple assault. She must pay $149 restitution to the victim. At the time of her arrest on Oct. 31, Slippery Rock police also charged Bilicic with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Fred Leroy Ramsey, 23, of Pittsburgh will be on probation for 18 months for simple assault and retail theft that he committed on Aug. 25. He was also fined $100. His original charges included aggravated assault and vehicle damage.

According to court documents filed by the Slippery Rock police department, Ramsey stole $97 in assorted groceries from the store on Aug. 25, and was confronted by a store employee after walking to his vehicle. Ramsey and the employee had walked back into the store, police said, when Ramsey bolted out of a conference room and tried to run outside.

The employee tried to block Ramsey from exiting the store and was knocked over by the man in what police called a “shoulder block” motion, according to documents. The employee sustained broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Marcellus Shondale Dumas, 41, of Butler was sentenced to 15 to 30 months imprisonment for conspiracy to manufacture and sell a controlled substance. The charges stem from a heroin drug deal on June 1, 2015, at Federal and Bredin streets.

Butler Police charged Demharter on Oct. 23, 2017, with conspiracy to commit theft, misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property. Three witnesses told police that they saw Demharter and another man pushing the owners of a green Mongoose bike, valued at $120, from the house about 4:20 a.m. Oct. 23, according to court documents.

Jolena Elizabeth Bowser, 40, of Parker was sentenced to a maximum incarceration of six months and 12 months of probation for driving under the influence, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. She also has to serve 80 hours of community service and must pay a $1,000 fine. Butler State Police say they found a small bag of suspected crack cocaine and a pipe in Bowser’s bra on March 27.

Lacey Carney, 31, of Ford City will be on probation for 36 months for retail theft and she must also pay Walmart $145. She received that single charge on March 27.

Travis Joseph Zaborowski, 29, of Cheswick, must serve a six- to 12-month prison sentence and do 30 hours of community service for stealing from a vehicle. Butler Police originally charged Zaborowski with theft, a felony, and a separate count of theft from a vehicle, a misdemeanor, on Oct. 18, 2017. But it was Butler Township police who arrested him on Oct. 12 after getting a call for a suspicious man at Chesapeake and Main streets.

Township officers said they found Zaborowski “highly intoxicated.” According to a police report, he was yelling, singing, flailing his arms and staggering.

He was placed in the Butler County Prison on a probation violation. Township police subsequently charged him with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
