GROVE CITY — The Grove City Community Library will host a community health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 29.

There will be health-education activities, free screenings and representatives from organizations such as the Butler Rehabilitation Center, Grove City Medical Center and Mercer County Area Agency on Aging.

[naviga:h3]SR Rotary offers blood tests[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Rotary along with Quest Diagnostics is sponsoring a diagnostic blood analysis from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Oct. 6 at Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St.

The samples will be tested for coronary, kidney and liver disease, as well as anemia and other tests.

This screening is not covered by Medicare and most insurance companies. A check or money order made out to AMBA Wellness Programs will be accepted on the day of the program.

Call 1-800-234-8888 to make an appointment between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Personal physician authorization is required. Walk-ins will be accepted.

[naviga:h3]Flag retirement ceremony slated[/naviga:h3]

MARS — Mars VFW Post 7505, 331 Mars Valencia Road, will host a flag retirement ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday in the post parking lot.

The ceremony is being performed by Boy Scout Troop 58 and nearly 200 flags will be retired.
