8:43 a.m. Sunday — Police said Lili M. Szymecki, 37, of Butler was found with drugs and other contraband in her possession after she was arrested on a bench warrant while walking in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street.

A search at the Butler County Prison, where Szymecki was taken on the warrant, turned up five stamp bags of suspected heroin, two used syringes and a crack pipe, according to court documents.

She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

11:20 a.m. Saturday — Michael A. Butler Jr., 41, was caught allegedly exposing himself outside his apartment on Kaufman Drive near Father Marinaro Park.

Butler admitted that his genitals were exposed, according to court documents, but he claimed he was “going to the bathroom.”

He is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.

Wednesday — Austin T. Freeman, 22, of Pittsburgh was charged with driving on drugs and alcohol stemming from an August traffic stop in Slippery Rock. Police said they pulled him over about 10:50 p.m. Aug. 31 after his car crossed over the double yellow line on Franklin Street.

Freeman admitted that he had smoked marijuana earlier that day, according to court documents, and he subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.

Toxicology reports confirmed he had marijuana in his system. Additionally, his blood-alcohol level was 0.069 percent.

He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, DUI, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, failing to keep right and disregarding traffic lanes.

Monday — Jonathan Charles-Pierre, 27, of Slippery Rock was charged with having marijuana in connection with a traffic stop earlier this month in Slippery Rock. He was stopped about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Route 173 and School Drive after police say they saw an expired inspection sticker on his car.

Police said Charles-Pierre let them search the car after they questioned the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to court documents. The search turned up a plastic bag containing nine small baggies of suspected marijuana

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without valid inspection.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

Thursday — Police reported that a 16-year-old detainee punched an employee in the face Sept. 8 at the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County.

The boy, who police did not identify, faces felony assault and other charges.

6:26 p.m. Wednesday — No one was injured in a crash involving three tractor-trailers in a construction zone on Interstate 80 in Pine Township, Mercer County.

The wreck happened when a rig driven by Timothy G. Linski, 60, of Manchester, Mich., rear-ended another rig driven by Ulugbek Abdullaev, 37, of Dayton, N.J. Moments later, a tractor truck driven by Robert C. McCracken, 58, of Monroeville was unable to stop in time and hit the back of Linski’s trailer.
