Woman in Rt. 422 crash identified

SUMMIT TWP — State police have identified the drivers in a two-vehicle crash on Route 422 Tuesday that sent one of them to a Pittsburgh hospital via medical helicopter.

Laura Graham-Simonetti, 52, of Butler suffered unknown injuries in the wreck about 5:10 p.m. Her condition was not known Wednesday.

The other driver was reportedly not hurt.

Police said Graham-Simonetti was eastbound on Route 422 east of Heist Road when her car apparently rear-ended a tanker truck driven by Jeremy Brothers, 42, of Portage, Cambria County.

The woman, authorities said, was wearing a seat belt but was trapped in her vehicle as Lick Hill and Herman volunteer fire departments arrived to rescue her.

Fire officials said Graham-Simonetti was conscious when she was taken from her vehicle. The wreck closed Route 422 in both directions for about 30 minutes.

The accident report was not complete Wednesday, police said, and the investigation continues.
