PITTSBURGH — Karns City graduate Rebecca Pennington, a freshman at Chatham University, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Pennington placed third overall at Saturday’s Allegheny Classic, covering the three-mile course in 18 minutes, 31 seconds. She was the PAC’s top finisher in the 116-runner field.

GROVE CITY — Mars graduate Maggie Williams, a freshman on the Grove City College women’s soccer team, has been named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week in the sport.

Williams scored two goals in the Wolverines’ 4-0 victory Friday at La Roche.
