Donald and Deborah Bender

Donald and Deborah Bender of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at Anna Marie’s Winery.

Bender married the former Deborah Huselton on Sept. 21, 1968, at St. Killian Parish in Mars.

They have three children, Stacy (Toby) Wehr of Renfrew, Diana (John) Pinto of Butler and Douglas Bender of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren.

Bender retired from Armco’s Hot Mill as a buyer

He was a member of U.S. Marine Corps from 1961 to 1966, rising to the rank of corporal.

Mrs. Bender retired from her job in loss prevention from Barcolene/Penn Champ in East Butler.

The Benders are members of St. Paul Parish in Butler.
