Floyd and Dorothy Smith

Floyd and Dorothy Smith of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner Sept. 1 at Tanglewood Center in Lyndora. The celebration was catered by Chef Henry.

Smith married the former Dorothy Parmenter on Sept. 9, 1953, in Rapid City, S.D.

They have four children, Jay Smith of Butler, Kim Stephenson of Butler, Jody Beatty of Butler, and Roxanne Kriess of King George, Va.

They also have nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Smith retired from AK Steel.

Mrs. Smith is also retired, having been employed in several office positions in Butler.
