About 30 state police troopers including SERT team members and a helicopter unit are at Nursery Road for an incident reportedly involving a man barricaded in his home.
State police shot a Renfrew man who pointed a rifle at troopers during a stand-off Tuesday at his home, said state police during a press conference Tuesday evening.
Police were called to 129 Nursery Road at about 11:47 a.m. On arrival, the man was outside the house with the weapon.
The original call was to assist a person with a mental health issue.
The man has been airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital.
State police are not releasing the man's name.
About 30 state police troopers including SERT team members responded.
