Transit authority in talks to relocate Pullman Square park-and-ride

The Butler Transit Authority is in talks with owner of the former Shop 'n Save in Pullman Square, where the authority leases property for a park-and-ride lot, to relocate the lot because the owner is in the process of leasing the old store to a new tenant.

The Butler Transit Authority is in talks with the owner of the former Shop 'n Save in Pullman Square, where the authority leases property for a park-and-ride lot, to relocate the lot because the owner is in the process of leasing the old store to a new tenant.

The authority leases the lot from LG Realty Advisors of Pittsburgh for a park-and-ride lot for its commuter bus service to Pittsburgh.

LG has submitted preliminary plans to the Butler code enforcement office for redevelopment of the former grocery store, but those plans are under review and won't be made public until a building permit is issued.

“I'm working on it,” John Paul, authority executive director, said after Tuesday's authority board meeting.

He said he would like to move the park-and-ride to a different part of the building's lot.
