Lambing wants a new lawyer

Keith Jordan Lambing

A Butler man charged with killing a 4-year-old child in March of 2017 asked Butler County’s president judge for different lawyers on Friday.

Keith Jordan Lambing, 21, presented a list of four reasons why he should be reassigned new public defenders to Judge Thomas Doerr.

The judge said he’d take Lambing’s request into consideration and respond by next week.

The reasons included not getting physical copies of tests results, such as a DNA test, from the crime investigation, a belief that his current defense does not have his “best interests in mind,” his deteriorating relationship with his attorneys and a belief that his attorneys are biased against him.

Lambing faces charge of first-degree homicide, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with serious bodily injury, rape of a child and other charges related to the death of 4-year-old Bentley Thomas Miller at the Super 8 Motel on Route 8 in Butler Township. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the case.
