UPDATE: The missing child has been found as of 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The Butler City Police Department wanted help Tuesday finding a 14-year-old boy who vanished from his home overnight.
Lukas Jonathan Woodcock was last seen by members of his family at 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to Lt. Anthony Fatta. Family realized Woodcock was missing in the morning and reported him missing at around 9 a.m.
Woodcock's mother found her son and brought him home. The boy was uninjured, police report.
Fatta say the boy left of his own volition and was not abducted or put in some sort of pressing danger.
Family members were not sure of any specific reason why Woodcock would have left. Police instructed family members to reach out to friends of Woodcock's for information on his location.
Police spread word about the search through local media and posts online.
