The 20th anniversary of the Regatta at Lake Arthur will be Saturday and Sunday at the Pleasant Valley Beach area on the South Shore of Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Events include live music, food, crafts, a car cruise, sailing races and a family fun run.

A fireworks display is set for 9 p.m. Saturday.

Butler County Symphony Orchestra’s 70th anniversary season kicks off with a celebration dinner Sept. 14th at the Butler Country Club, Penn Township.

“Symphony Platinum: 70 Years in the Making” will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $70.

The new season will feature six concerts:

“Bernstein & Barber,” 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6

“Magical Music of Harry Potter,” 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3

“Holiday Traditions,” 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1

“Nordic Winters,” 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2

“Safety Last!” including a silent film, 7:30 p.m. March 2

“Fire & Water,” 3 p.m. April 14.

All concerts are at Butler Intermediate High School’s auditorium.

Pre-concert talks begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Butler Farm Show opens Monday and runs through Aug. 11 at the Farm Show grounds on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Featured are animal and agricultural exhibits, live music, truck and tractor pulls, auctions and demonstrations.

Tickets are $7 on Monday and $8 the other days.
