Butler police chief retires
Butler police chief Ron Brown retired Monday, July 30, 2018.Deputy chief Dave Adam remains on paid administrative leave.
Butler police chief Ron Brown retired today.
Mayor Ben Smith said Brown submitted his resignation in writing to him at solicitor Tom Breth's office and he accepted it.
This comes after Brown and Deputy Chief Dave Adam were placed on leave by Smith last Thursday in response to the police union's recent vote of no confidence in both men on June 5th.
Adam remains on paid administrative leave.
