JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its 137th Anniversary Summer Festival from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. July 29 in the Lund Care Center back yard, 134 Marwood Road.

The 4 p.m. worship service will be led by the Rev. Doug Spittel, senior pastor, First Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh.

[naviga:h3]Singers camp set for Aug. 6-10[/naviga:h3]

GROVE CITY — The Pittsburgh Youth Chorus, under the direction of Amy Kegel, will offer a weeklong day camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 6 through 10 open to children entering third through sixth grades at Grove City College.

The camp includes musical games and activities that are designed to introduce and reinforce the healthy singing skills that are an essential part of PYC’s choral education program.

[naviga:h3]Holocaust survivor returns [/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, will welcome back Holocaust survivor Shulamit Bastacky at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Born on Aug. 25, 1941, she survived the first few years of her life hidden in a basement of a Catholic orphanage. After the war, she was one of the few hidden children of the Holocaust to be reunited with her parents.

Bastacky is a volunteer with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh. She is a current member and former president of the Center’s Survivors Organization.

[naviga:h3]Butler Class of ’48 sets reunion[/naviga:h3]

The Butler High School Class of 1948 has set its 70th reunion for Aug. 18 at the Hardwood Cafe, 646 Pittsburgh Road, Penn Township.
